Welcome To The HIPAMS India Blogs

The HIPAMS India project has been funded by the British Academy as part of their Sustainable development programme 2018

The Project

This project engages with three Indian cases, Patachitra, Baul and Chau, to investigate how developing ‘heritage-sensitive’ IP and marketing strategies (HIPAMS) could give communities greater control over the commercialisation of their heritage to strengthen competitiveness while contributing to its safeguarding and ongoing viability. We will use this blog to record and reflect on progress, to develop ideas, and to report on how our thinking about HIPAMS progresses during the course of the project.
