Mobilization workshop at Rairangpur

November 2018

Contact Base team visited Rairangpur between 22 - 24 November, 2018 to interact with the communities who practise Mayurbhanj Chau dance, the present condition of the artist community, performing opportunities and challenges. The team met with the artists' groups in their villages and also held meeting at Rairangpur town to share information about the HIPAMS research project. The artists understood the goal of the project and gave their consent to participate in the project.

Another visit was made between 27 - 30 November to know more deeply about the traditional dance and met the young artists to know about the major challenges to continue the tradition.
